Qr 4, 4.1: F.E. Observations
I have gotten the chance to do a five week observation with Mrs. Mead's Science class.
highlight 1 - On the first day that I observed Mrs.Mead's classroom, the students were learning about Punnett Squares. Most of the students seemed to be engaged but there were a few students who were disengaged. Towards the end of their block Mrs. Mead had her students turn in their vocabulary. After the bell me and Mrs. Mead went to the teacher work room and she had me grade papers for her, most of the students did really well.
highlight 2 - The second day that I observed Mrs. Meads classroom she had a sub. The students were told to finish their test and turn in all of their work. After the bell rang the students went outside because of the schedule change due to the slam poetry competition at 1:00pm.
takeaway - I had a really fun time observing Mrs. Meads classroom the past two times. All of the students seemed to respect her a lot. Her teaching style was very simple and she was really kind. In the future I plan of using the visualizer to help the students understand how to do their assignment.
conclusion - Overall The students are really fun to be around and they seem to get their work done without any problems. Mrs. Mead is very polite and helpful and allows students to be themselves.

Elementary Observation
On February 26th, I observed a Kindergarten class. At first the students were very curious but became very accepting of me. A lot of them asked me questions and wanted me to play with them. Mrs. Gay was individually testing each student to see what they learned last week when they practiced pronunciation.
At the end of my time one of the students wanted to read a book to me, I sat down with her and then realized that it was time for me to go so I felt bad after telling her that I wouldn't be able to sit with her. When I was walking out they all told me "bye" and asked "when will you be back?" I told them that I would be back with a very fun project and a special treat.
March 5th, Today I observed Mrs. Gay's classroom. Each kid was very excited to see me, they all crowded around me and wanted to tell me all about how their week was. I brought them Candy as an early Easter present. Today I presented my puppet show to them, they loved it.
After I got down presenting all of the students wanted to make their own puppet show. One girl asked me why my frog puppet (Sir Hopalot) had fake lashes, I told her that he was born with them. After the puppet show Mrs. Gay had all of the students go to the carpet while she read a few pages from their book of the week. About twenty minutes before I left Mrs. Gay had each student start an activity on Spring.
They started off by drawing flower buds and labeling them. I walked around the room and help some of the students were having trouble spelling "bud" and showed them how to do it. After they got the drawing finished they had to write a sentence about Spring.

Preschool Observation
February 12th, 2026 I observed room #9. This was the very first preschool classroom I observed. It was very calming and warm. Each kid had a very big imagination and they all loved to dance. While there wasn't any space for me to sit I had a great time! I played with playdoh the whole time creating what the little ones asked me to do, hearts, Sonic, pie, and pizza.
On February 19th my puppet show was not fully completed. I went with Paige and observed the class while she presented, the kids loved her. While I was in the back of the classroom one of the students was saying that I was rude (for fun) and so I was saying that she was being mean. While that was going on I noticed a student sitting by their self so I went over and introduced myself, the student either didn't hear me or chose to ignore me. At the very end of the observation, the student that was sitting alone was actually drawing on a paper for Paige and I.
