On February 26th, I observed a Kindergarten class. At first the students were very curious but became very accepting of me. A lot of them asked me questions and wanted me to play with them. Mrs. Gay was individually testing each student to see what they learned last week when they practiced pronunciation.
At the end of my time one of the students wanted to read a book to me, I sat down with her and then realized that it was time for me to go so I felt bad after telling her that I wouldn't be able to sit with her. When I was walking out they all told me "bye" and asked "when will you be back?" I told them that I would be back with a very fun project and a special treat.
March 5th, Today I observed Mrs. Gay's classroom. Each kid was very excited to see me, they all crowded around me and wanted to tell me all about how their week was. I brought them Candy as an early Easter present. Today I presented my puppet show to them, they loved it.
After I got down presenting all of the students wanted to make their own puppet show. One girl asked me why my frog puppet (Sir Hopalot) had fake lashes, I told her that he was born with them. After the puppet show Mrs. Gay had all of the students go to the carpet while she read a few pages from their book of the week. About twenty minutes before I left Mrs. Gay had each student start an activity on Spring.
They started off by drawing flower buds and labeling them. I walked around the room and help some of the students were having trouble spelling "bud" and showed them how to do it. After they got the drawing finished they had to write a sentence about Spring.
